I am passionate about governance and have been a parent governor at Mead Vale Community school and Vice-Chair for the last 2 years. I have a son in Year 8 at Priory and a son in Year 3 at Mead Vale.

In my professional experience, I have been lecturing in the Higher Education (HE) sector for the last 20 years. I have been on a number of Faculty and University-wide boards aimed at raising standards when I was chair of the postgraduate provision at University of Bedfordshire.

My personal interest, in education, is the use of new technology schools: it is an area I have been investigating for many years. I am passionate about the use of technology in education and this topic forms a considerable part of my current lecturing role.

I am passionate about safeguarding and I have been the Safeguarding and E-Safety Governor for Mead Vale for the last 4 years.
