Election of Parent Governor at Priory Community School - An Academy

At the start of the recruitment process we had two Parent Governor vacancies to fill. Following the first round of recruitment we were able to fill one of the two roles. Mrs Aly Davies was successfully appointed as Parent Governor for PCSA. As we had less applicants than roles available this did not need to go to a parent/carer ballot.

Following the advertisement to find a suitable candidate for the second role we had three applicants. As there were now more applicants than positions available we held a parent/carer ballot.

I am writing to inform you of the result of our election for Parent Governor following the parent/carer ballot which closed on Thursday 14th December 2023. There was one Parent Governor vacancy.

Thank you to all parents/carers who took the time to vote in the election.

The results were very close for all three candidates, however, I am pleased to let you know that following the ballot, Mrs Sharon Wood, was elected as Parent Governor at Priory Community School.
