Pinter sketches. A duologue performance using key characterisation skills. (internally assessed)
Component 1
Assessment focus:
Ensemble devised performance and 1000 word portfolio. (internally assessed)
Mock component 3 – Theatre Makers in Practise.
Assessment Focus:
Students answer a series of questions based on the Crucible in the style of Actor, Director and Designer. (Internally assessed)
Real Component 1 exam – Devised Performance.
Assessment Focus:
Devised performance based on a selection of stimuli. Portfolio of 2000 words. (Internally assessed and externally moderated)
Year 11 Learning Cycle
Component 1 – Devised performance.
Assessment Focus:
A devised ensemble performance based on a stimulus. Portfolio of 2000 words. 40% of final grade. (internally marked and externally moderated).
Component 2 – Performance from Text
Assessment focus:
2 key extracts from a text as either a group, duologue or monologue performance. 20% of the final grade (Externally assessed)
Component 3 – Theatre Makers in Practise.
Assessment Focus:
Students study The Crucible and then answer questions in a written exam in the summer. They are asked to answer in the style of an Actor, Director and Designer. 40%
